Metric Tags

Tags​

Tags allow you to organize your metrics in groupings that make sense for you organization. Metric tags are locked metadata which can be set in the YAML files or in metric settings in the Transform App. If you set tags in locked metadata, you will only be able to add new tags in the UI not change existing ones set in the configuration.

Setting & Viewing Tags​

You can set tags for a metric either in locked metadata in the YAML configuration for a metric or directly in the Transform App on the metric settings modal for a metric.

You can see tags on a metric page associated to a given metric, in the search results (which you can also filter down tags), and when selecting metrics in other parts of the application (like Query and Board).

Transform will automatically de-dupe tags if duplicates are present (includes cases where you have "marketing" or "Marketing").
